It felt so good to finally get some sleep last night! I almost got 8 hours sleeping on my friend's couch(Thanks so much to John and Tara Tanner!). Carol got about 6 hours on the couch in our room and we are feeling refreshed. I think in my little mind I would come back to a refreshed Lizzie full of life with a smile on her face. We still have a very long way to go with her, but we'll make it. She only got about 2 or 3 hours. An hour a day for sleep on average for the last 3 days isn't enough and has me concerned, but I am sure it will get better. I think they are really going to try and get her more sleep if they can.
I don't think there has been any progress since last night. Her motor skills are going to take a long time to get working appropriately. The best thing though is her attitude. Whenever you ask her how she is doing it is always good. I am so happy to see that. To be in such a crappy situation and to have her be happy is such a blessing! We are so grateful for her and we just love her so much. She is such a sweet little thing!
For me this is a quick post. Just wanted to keep things updated. Please continue to pray for her, I think we are in for a long recovery with small improvements along the way. She is healthy(relatively speaking) and happy and that is a blessing! Thanks again for all your concern and prayers!

Happy to hear you and Carol got some much needed sleep last night. I sure hope Lizzie will be able to sleep soon. You and your sweet family are forever in my thoughts and prayers!! I'm sure this is the toughest thing to go through. But I am so grateful that it sounds like Lizzie is doing well and that even the smallest improvements mean so much!

Ben, so sorry to hear all that you guys are going through. Kids are so resilient, Lizzie sounds like a tough cookie. We are close by as well if you guys need anything, we have a couple empty couches if needed. I work at Primary and will be there next Friday. Hopefully you will be home by then but if not I will try to drop by and see you guys.
