Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity-Jig!

Home Sweet Home....ahhhh! Love it! I do love to travel, but I love being home even more!

We basically got home from Sun Valley, proceeded to have two family parties, a friend party and then quickly contracted the flu.Actually only Ben & I contracted the flu...I don't recommend the parents getting sick at the same time to anyone.

Picture Ben & I in bed together (not that kind of together you sick-o) and having Spencer in charge...needless to say we have had lots of fun messes to clean up - an entire box of cereal on the floor, clothes and toys everywhere - I am just glad to be feeling better!

I can't sleep tonight though. I have issues. We leave for Hawaii in one month and yet I can't get logistical issues out of my head. I am already making to do lists in my mind and driving myself crazy.

I seem to do this everytime we get ready to go on vacation and then I spend the first two days of the vacation trying to de-stress and get my mind to shut up. I literally get sick with each vacation.

For Disneyland last year I made myself so sick with details that I got serious canker sores in my mouth and couldn't eat the yummy vacation food for 3 days.

For Sun Valley I got stress headaches and had to go to the chiropractic up there...twice.

I refuse to get sick for Hawaii...are you listening brain o'mine?!

I hope everyone is having a happy new year...wishing you all a prosperous, healthy and happy 2009!

Ok, I really wasn't that sad about moving until I read your sweet comments on my blog this morning! I seriously think of your kids as some of my own.....NO ONE can get the giggles like your Lizzie! Now I have the weepy eyes....I promise, we will be around and the kids will finnish out the school year at M.

What part of Hawaii are you headed to? If you want some fun ideas while you are there, let me know. My brother Craig went just before Christmas(this was their bazillionth time going) Ben knows him, and Craig would be more than happy to give you guys some ideas! My other brother Jeff lived there for school/basketball and he could give you the "local" point of view! (ya, like getting his car stolen a couple of times on campus!)sorry for the long comment I hope you still love me!

I sure hope you don't get sick!! That would not be fun...and yes it is awful to have both parents sick at the same time!!

Your blog is seriously awesome. I love the way you frame your pictures and post about them. Especially SUN VALLEY! Good luck with your next vacation, I know how you feel:S It's a blessing and a curse.
~If I would have been in a truck, my driving would have been much better;) Ha!

Carol- I hope I didn't get your family sick? I feel horrible about that night. I was looking forward to hanging out with your family. I think I was so exhausted and my body could only take so much running around on small amounts of sleep. We ended up staying in Utah until Saturday night. We volunteered to take a later flight in return for delta dollars. We want to come down in the summer and at Christmas. Hopefully we will have a better visit next time. I am really sorry if we got you sick. It was good to see you even if it was for an hour.

Oh my goodness Carol, I am just like you. I have hard time going on vacation. I really want to be better at it, but be honest, if we didn't get the packing, laundry, meals, etc... ready, who would! I hope you can relax, because that is what Hawaii is all about. So I have heard. Have a great trip!!
