A LONG List of Things we Love about Sun Valley!

To be completely honest, the first few days we were here, I was thinking to myself, "we will never be doing this again!" I was missing my fam, home and friends, but now I'm thinking, "we are definitely coming back next year if we can!"

We are having so much fun up here...the past few days have been so great. Here's a few things that we love about Sun Valley:

THE FOOD...okay, so we've been eating at the cafeteria and we've all had ahem, um, well lets just say we've all had a few GI tract issues! But, Christmas came early to us...today we found out that we get to eat at any of the lodges and restaurants for free...yahoo, we're going from mystery meat to Paninis and smoothies!

Spencer has loved being able to get a tray and pick whatever he wants out...he has been in food heaven...he is the only one that has loved going to the cafeteria! So basically we went from food below (I still don't know what that dish was) to the other pics below.

Can we say yogurt parfaits & chicken salad - yum, I feel better already. It was so funny because as soon as we got word that we could eat at the restaurants for free, there was a mad dash of the carolers and their families...so funny!

We love Sun Valley CHOCOLATE! Seriously, the Chocolate Foundry is right outside our hotel, so instant temptation everyday. The housekeeping people also turn down our beds each night and give us yummy chocolates then too...we have been so spoiled up here.

Spencer and Lizzie brought up about $15 each in quarters...they get to pick out a candy almost everyday at the Chocolate Foundry...it's their own personal candy store.We Love how Sun Valley and all their grounds are chuck full of the Christmas spirit. We loved seeing the below ice sculptures being sculpted...it was so fun for the kids to see.We Love Santa and his reindeer that came up to see us at Sun Valley, although Spencer quickly pointed out that he was just Santa's helper and a "fake" reindeer.We Love the Sun Valley Carolers...especially one in particular! They are all amazing singers/performers and have done the best job entertaining people up here. They are such a professional group and even do handbells with their songs...we are truly blessed to be part of this group!We Love BEN...even if he is the biggest goof we know!We love swimming outside in winter...we go swimming just about every day and we LOVE it...it's like our own huge hot tub to swim in!This one is just for me...I love the eclectic shops up here and I went exploring two days ago and found a really cool secondhand store...think rich people's hand me downs. Those who know me best know that I LOVE to read when I get down time...I found all these books for $6 for all of them...Ben thought I was pretty psychotic about how excited I was, but I love building up my library without spending $20 per book! They have seriously great shopping up here!I Think the biggest thing we've enjoyed is just hanging out together...we have not had a lot of time to just hang out in the last few months and whether it is watching movies in our hotel room or playing in the snow, it has just been sooo nice to be with my family with no distractions!

We love our hotel room! It's so fun to just hang out here and we are getting prepared for the big day tomorrow...our stockings are hung and our mini tree is all ready to do!

Tonight we're going to an ice skating show with the Carolers too and fireworks...what an interesting Christmas this has been for us, but we love it! We miss our family and friends a lot, but this has been such a good memory-making trip for us. Merry Christmas!
