I just got back from the hospital where my sister delivered the cutest little guy you've ever seen. She had been in the hospital since early this morning and was getting depressed because things weren't moving along so I decided to go up to the hospital to cheer her up. So I walk in the room and she says, "I'm having the baby in one minute...do you want to watch?"
When I talked to her 30 minutes before it was still looking like it was going to be hours away. I was a little unprepared since I have had all my babies c-section...wow, it was quite the experience! She only pushed once and out he came...the most perfect and beautiful 8 lb. 1 ounce child ever! Lucky. I've always been a little sad that I will never experience natural birth, but I'm grateful to at least seen it firsthand. My sister is amazing and had the best delivery ever!
I just had to write it down because it really was such a miracle and I'm so glad she let me stay and watch...if it had been me I would've said something to the effect of, "get the heck out of here, you're not seeing my privates."
Babies are so amazing - although I'm not the least bit baby hungry...Calli has cured me of that for now. The little guy still doesn't have a name, so I'll post the updates when I receive them!

That is pretty dang cool! I have had 2 c-sections and 2 v-backs. C-section is easier. I was a lot more nervous over the v-backs. I am not trying to deminish the need to try both. Just sharing my wisdom. If I have to be old at least I can pretend to be wise.
I am really jealous! I think child-birth is one of the most amazing things ever, and I would love to be a part of that and not have to be the one doing all of the work!
