Perspective

I have come across a couple blogs in the past little while that have really impacted me and I thought I'd share.

First, one of my friends told me about this blog www.charliecooperjackjack.blogspot.com This sweetest little boy that is the same age as my baby Calli got really sick a few months ago and they couldn't figure out what was wrong, etc. Anyhow, he basically became so ill with meningitis (I think that's what it was) that he spent months in Primary Children's and is now back home, but is no longer the baby he was. This blog is amazing. The parents of this little guy are so upbeat and positive despite going through hell the last few months. I like a quote on their blog that says, "If you're going through hell, keep going." --Winston Churchill. I look at the blog and I can't help but cheer for this little boy and his family that I have never met.

The second blog is www.jodicarlson.blogspot.com This is actually the blog of one of our friends. I didn't realize it until a couple months ago that Jodi had her third child and then shortly thereafter had a blood clot go to her brain. She then had a stroke and a million other problems. Jodi is one of the most vibrant, positive people I know and I am still in shock that this happened to her. When I saw the pictures of her face paralyzed I wept for a week. She is such a beautiful person inside and out and now is battling through physical therapy so she can even return to her home to take care of her babies. Her baby Ana Jain doesn't know her that well since she has never really taken care of her. It is the saddest thing! I love Jodi and she's a fighter...reading her blog again just puts my life into perspective and makes me grateful for all that I have.
