SuMmEr!

Oh how we love summer around here!

Although last summer was a bit too much craziness for me, so I laid down the law this year, okay, well, those who know me well know that I am a bit of a pushover when it comes to what my kids want.

But, really, this year I'm trying to be a little more structured. So, the kids are doing a bit o'homework or reading in the mornings and then a few chores and then they can have friends over after 10...that's for the benefit of my non-morning self.

My coat racks are already turned into life jacket & swimming suit drying racks and there are of course otter pop wrappers littering the lawn.

Spencer {finally} learned how to ride a bike...seriously, it was getting sad that our little 4-year-old neighbor was riding their bike without training wheels and then there's our Spencer who we've neglected to teach. But, we dusted off the bike this week, took off the training wheels and he literally just started riding without any assistance...it was fabulous...he is so good except for the minor (to Spencer) crash into the Odyssey (serious), and I've loved going on rides with my little Spoonman.

He also caught his first fish recently with Ben...his first cast in, he caught a good sized trout.

I love my Lizzie! She got to experience the hatching of baby chicks in her preschool and just thought it was so funny to be able to hold one.

We took the Front Runner down to play in the fountains at Gateway...Ben had to kindly nudge Lizzie into getting wet. Okay, for reals he dragged her kicking and screaming into the water, very funny!

Ben also had to drag Calli kicking and screaming into the fountains, but once there, she loved it and loves her Daddy too! Happy summer!
