In the past month I can seriously count the number of times my kids have slept until 6:30 a.m. on one hand. I'm sure my college roommates (and anyone else I know really well) are just giggling inside thinking of me waking up that early and being ready to go, getting breakfast and all that fun morning stuff. I am NOT a morning person and this whole early rising thing is simply overrated!
When we were preparing Spencer for first grade...we were telling him that he would have to be ready by a certain time in the morning and all that...he looked at me and said, "I'll make sure to wake you up mom so you can get me ready in time." Sad, but true!

Oh I know what you mea. Mine are the same way. except for the oldest. He sleeps in on the weekends. During the week he is the one who geets me up before he goes to school. How pathetic am I?
Sorry about all the spelling mistakes on that last one. I hope you know what I mean.
Carol, I feel your pain. Sadie gets up between 5 and 5:30 every single morning. If she sleeps until 6 we feel like it is treat. How sad is that? Just think of me when you are getting up early and know that I have been up for awhile! :)
My kids only sleep in when we have to get up and go somewhere early. Without fail, this will always happen!
Being one of the few, the proud, the former college roomates of Carol I couldn't help but think of the first time I saw you in the early morning hours while reading this post. :) I remember you were sitting at the table in a yellow bathrobe w/wet hair eating a bowl of cereal. I had never seen your face look like it did-- devoid of all joy and happiness. Of course I thought it was hilarious--and didn't I say something about you looking like that poster of the 'bad hair day cat'? What a great roommate I was! We both know the only reason I never saw you early in the morning was because I was always up, showered, and gone by then . . . Riiiiight, it was still the middle of my night! Love you, K
I'm glad to say I don't have to feel your pain on this one. Delaney will wake up around 6:30 or 7:00 and then sleep with me until I want to get up. I'm enjoying every last minute of it because soon I will get to experience what it is like to have more than one. This next one may be an early riser, especially in the beginning.
Maybe this is why I like you so much! I am totally the same way, not a morning person AT ALL... and those crazy kids of mine sure are... and doesn't daylight savings just make it all worse? As if waking up at 6:00 wasn't bad enough, they think they can wake up at 5:00!!!
