First, we have 4 new babies...birds that is. We have this nest of swallows that decided 3 years ago to take up residence in the eaves of our home.
They built the nest the first year and I knocked it down, but they just kept coming back and Ben talked me into letting them stay. He even built our birdies a little shelf to hold their um, droppings. We affectionately refer to it as the "poop shelf".
This is their second batch of babies this year...last year they had three. It's fun to have birds outside - that way I get away with not getting a pet for the kids, they eat all the mosquitoes in the yard and our kids love them!
Our next addition is our TRAMPOLINE...yahoo! We had tons of little neighborhood helpers to help set it up. Let me just say that we LOVE our neighborhood...there are a ton of the most fun, well behaved (most of the time) children that our kids love to play with. There is always a friend outside and it is so much fun!
They helped so much that the springs were completely mixed up...Ben was so pleased about that and only had a handful of cuss words to help him get through fixing it (please note the sweat dripping from his face...it was 100 degrees and evidently it's hard work fixing springs).
The finished product was a success and the neighborhood is HAPPY. Thanks everyone for your help.

I'm sooo sorry that my monsters contributed to that madness!! I think you should start charging admission to your backyard....3 more weeks till school....you could make a fortune!
I want a poop shelf for my kids! I would refer to it as the crap shelf and they can put all their stuff on it.
I want a poop shelf too. Adam will sometimes take of Delaney's diaper (she hates the restrictions of clothing) and I swear she knows it because within 5 minutes she will crap on the floor. I make him clean it up of course.
